"All contractors, inspectors, and licensed professionals are responsible for compliance with the most current adopted code cycle. Ignorance of an amendment does not constitute grounds for variance or waiver."
Adopted Amendments & Ordinances
Effective April 1, 2026, all new residential construction three stories or greater must include NFPA 13R compliant sprinkler systems throughout. Amendments supersede local ordinances where less restrictive.
"Continued professional development is not optional — it is the mechanism by which this state ensures that every person exercising a licensed authority understands the current standard of care."
